It was a bit chilly when we woke up this morning so we
waited for the sun to warm up the air a bit. Then we made some sandwiches,
loaded up our bikes and went to Sanibel Island again.
Not only is this a
beautiful place to bike, but it is all level and easy for me to pedal. We looked for some more of the geocaches that are hidden along the bike trail.
We met a couple who live in New York State and Florida
and they were also geocaching. One cache was named Gumbo Limbo cache-o and it was described as being in a tree also
known as the “tourist tree”. We knew that this tree is comically referred to as
the “Tourist Tree” because the tree's bark is red and peeling, like the skin of
sunburnt tourists. However, there was more than one of these trees at the site,
so it did take a few minutes of searching to find it.
Most of the beaches have picnic tables nearby so we
stopped at one to eat our lunch.
It was a bit too chilly to spend time on the
beach so we continued on along the trail. I did witness an irresponsible woman
fail to yield the right away and she crashed into another biker. It made me
wonder if she drives her car the same way.
I saw mailbox than made me think of Janelle because she
has decorated her bathroom in a flip flop theme.
We enjoyed our time so much that we only stopped because
we were tired, hungry and a bit cold.

We did a few chores this morning only because we needed
to have some clean clothes to wear and we needed to straighten up around the
condo in preparation for the arrival of friends, Jim and Barb Hauser.
After lunch we made a run to the grocery store and
stocked up so we wouldn’t have to interrupt our fun for our few days.
Jim and Barb arrived in time for dinner and they seem to
have brought the cold weather with them.
Goooood GRIEF! That stock pile of wine would do ME for the next decade!! LOL! Meet my good friends -- the Winos, and The Lushes! Hehehe... Hope y'all have a GREAT time together!
